Missing Malaysian cuisine?

Kopitiam

Well, take a trip to the town of Soller close to Mallorca’s north west coast and opposite the Museum of Modern Art – Can Prunera, in the calle Lluna – here your journey is rewarded.
Called Kopitiam, the Marie Claire magazine listed this restaurant, for Malaysian cuisine, in the top five outside of the Malay Peninisula. The young lady behind this restaurant venture is Vi Vian a Chinesse Malay who grew up in Kuala Lumpur, studied accountancy in London before love and marriage brought her to Mallorca. The restaurant is also their home and from the style it could well be in Malaysia. Vi Vian is the Chef and prepares all her dishes and nothing is pre-prepared or from packaging. In addition to her delicious cooking she specialises in a variety of pickles, including mango, radish, leek, cucumber and many more. Ice cream too is on her list of home made specialities, including black sesame, fresh ginger, lychee and chocolate chilli. It is certainly recommended to book a table in advance as the restaurant prefers to maintain a typical Far East service and that means you might never find more tthan 15 to 20 dinners in-house.
